Sonography Technician

JOB SUMMARY

Perform Sonograms as ordered by Medical providers. Send copies of these exams for interpretation the Radiology firm contracted with MHHC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform Sonograms as ordered by Medical providers.
• Ensure that sonograms are sent to the Radiology firm on contract with MHHC for interpretation and the provision of a written report.
• Receive reports from Radiology firm.
• Practice Infection Control.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

1. Education: Satisfactory completion of formal Sonography Technology Training Program.

2. Experience: Three years (3) years experience in General/GYN Sonography, ultrasounds, and vascular exams.

3. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all levels of staff and the ability to serve patients in a manner that promotes patient satisfaction.

4. Reasoning Ability: English and any other second language as reflects the community-ideal but not mandatory.

5. Language Skills: English and any other second language as reflects the community-ideal but not mandatory.

6. Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend, perform mathematical development and manipulation of logical functions and formulas. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

7. Physical Demands: Employee required to lift up to 20 pounds.

8. Certifications/Licenses: Certified/meets requirements for registry by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in at least one registry in any specialty.

HIRING RATE

$35.68- $39.04 per hour (based on experience)
