About Jean
Dr. Jean M. Ronald Jacques brings over four decades of experience as an obstetrician and gynecologist, dedicating his career to providing exceptional medical care. He began his journey at L’Ouverture College in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in combined studies of Biology, Chemistry, and Humanities. Dr. Jacques continued his education at Faculte de Medecine et de Pharmacie in Port-au-Prince, graduating with an M.D. in 1977. He further honed his skills during his residency in Internal Medicine at the State University of Haiti from 1977 to 1979.
In 1980, Dr. Jacques made the move to New York City to pursue his OB/GYN residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn. Throughout his illustrious career, he has held pivotal clinical roles, including Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Residency and Intern Program Supervisor at Kings County Hospital Center, Brookdale Medical Center, Interfaith Medical Center, and Wyckoff Heights Hospital.
Deeply committed to serving Brooklyn's diverse communities, Dr. Jacques established a private OB/GYN practice in East Flatbush, providing compassionate care for nearly 32 years. He has also generously contributed his expertise to medical missions in Haiti and aspires to continue this work in the future.
In 2023, Dr. Jacques joined MHHC at their newest location in Brooklyn, as a vital member of the Women’s Health care team for the Maternal Center of Excellence.
As an OB/GYN, Dr. Jacques embraces the multifaceted roles of doctor, teacher, counselor, advocate, and friend, prioritizing the opportunity to serve others above all else. Outside of medicine, Dr. Jacques is an avid enthusiast of Jazz music. During his leisure time, he enjoys traveling and cherishing moments with his family.
